IIoT-Ops initiative will discuss operational issues related to Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) devices, device integration solutions, lifecycle management, performance, data, automation, interconnectivity, artificial intelligence etc.
IIoT has a rather nebulous definition with different meanings for different people.
This initiative will provides a venue for IIoT experts and other interested parties to engage in discussions of operational IIoT requirements, as well as proposals for new uses technology related to IIoT devices and network operations.
This initiative will aim to:
1) Publish well architected integration solutions
2) Discuss issues and solutions related to IIoT Operational security
3) Whitepapers and As-Built documentation
4) Discuss issues related to the operational management of IIoT devices.
This includes (but is not limited to):
- Performant integration of IIoT of devices into the IT network
- Performance monitoring
- Access control and security of devices
- Strategy to integrate isolated devices
- Failover and/or remediation strategy in case of device failure
- Lifecycle management of devices etc.
